Electri-Q 1.8.5 is a simple, intuitive, but powerful minimum phase EQ, which makes it very easy to adjust the magnitude of any audio material. Due to its flexibility, it can be used on every track or even as a mastering equalizer. The plugin offers two different algorithms. The algorithm 'Analog' was modelled on a transistor based circuit of a real analog EQ. On the other hand 'Digital' is a pure and neutral digital EQ without any coloration. 'Electri-Q 1.8.5' has up to 64 bands and offers several filter types.

-The "Maximum Phase" mode is like the "Linear Phase" mode, but instead of having a linear phase, it has maximum phase. With this, the whole filter is preringing only. So a techno bass might turn from "boom" into a "whoop". If you now take into acount, that loudspeakers (especially sub-woofers) are minimum-phase, these effects will compensate each other. At least in theory..

VOCALS
Welcome to the colourful world of the land of five rivers - the Punjab in Northern India. The vocals on CD1 reflect the timeless splendour, tradition and unique heritage of this area. The producers have tried to retain the delicate feel, skill and passion of vocalists who, between them, embody the widest variety of singing styles in the field of Indian music. From the subtlety, dexterity and sheer expressiveness of an 'Alaap' from a Classical Indian Raga to the raw energy of the 'Hek' of a Punjabi Folk song, Deepest India's vocals CD truly provides a definitive collection of all that typifies the Indian Vocal tradition.

The samples were all specially recorded in various studios throughout the Punjab using the finest singers - both classically trained vocalists and those whose expertise has been developed through numerous live performances in the villages and townships of the Punjab (Except for a small selection of 'Vintage' samples - lo-fi but hi-fun!).

The vocalists sing in the traditional Ragas of Indian music, and where possible an attempt was made to translate the Raga to the nearest equivalent Western key. However, there's no need to feel bound by the suggested key - it's all about experimenting and having fun!

Vocals were generally sung to 80, 90, 100, 110 0r 120 BPM, except for vocal passages where tempo is traditionally irrelevant (e.g. Alaaps, Shers and Speech). Extended phrases have been provided wherever possible to keep any lyrical content intact. The complexity of Asian rhythm cycles means that users may wish to experiment with the start point of the samples for the 'best fit' within their compositions.

INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC
Most music in India is played in a 'group' context and Instrumental Ensembles are a traditional feature of Indian music. Classical ensembles generally feature a leading Solo Instrument such as a Sitar, a Drone (usually a Taanpoora) a main percussionist (for example, a Tablachi) and possibly secondary percussion such as a Ghara (Clay pot).

Orchestration and harmonisation, introduced from the West, as featured in the Film Orchestra samples, have added new dimensions to Indian music. A common sight and sound in both cities and villages in India are the wedding bands playing what is commonly termed 'Street Music' using Western Brass-Band style instruments.

Folk ensembles featured on Deepest India vary from simple ethnic duos to multi-percussive setups using Eastern and Western instruments.

Deepest India Disc 3 features a great variety of Indian moods and musical textures, and form a valuable resource bank of loops at 80, 90, 100, 110 and 120 BPM to use and abuse,mix and match with the instrumental phrases on Disc 2, or with other rhythm samples in your collection, or to be generally creative to your heart's content!

All of the sounds on Deepest India were lovingly produced by Paul Hodson and Hardeep Saini (a.k.a. Hoggie & the Turbinator).

The Triple audio CD version of Deepest India is now out of stock and discontinued. However, the entire Deepest India library is still available as an Akai Triple CD-ROM set, and is also available in GIGA format, expertly programmed for GigaStudio by David Govett (one of the world's foremost Giga programmer/musicians) - this version comes highly recommended! A selection of the vocals are also available on ProSamples Volume 8 - World Vocals.

Advanced multi-sampled Hohner Clavinet instrument. Includes a collection of Ableton Live Clips, Apple Loops and Beat Machine Loops for Kontakt.
A Clavinet is an electrophonic keyboard instrument manufactured by the Hohner company. It is essentially an electronically amplified clavichord, analogous to an electric guitar. Its distinctive bright staccato sound has appeared particularly in funk, disco, rock, and reggae songs.

Each key uses a small rubber tip to perform a "hammer on" (forcefully fret the string) to a guitar-type string when it is pressed, as with a conventional clavichord. The end of each string farthest from the pickups passes through a weave of yarn. When the key is released, the yarn makes the string immediately stop vibrating. This mechanism is completely different from the other Hohner keyboard products, the Cembalet and Pianet, which use the principle of plectra or sticky pads plucking metal reeds.
Originally the instrument was designed for home use and aimed at playing early European classical and folk music. The Clavinet L, introduced in 1968 was a domestic model and featured a wood-veneered triangular body with wooden legs, reverse-colour keys and an acrylic glass music stand. The final E7 model saw the culmination of several engineering improvements to make the instrument more suitable for use in live amplified rock music, where its use had become commonplace.

Perhaps the most notable use of the Clavinet model C in modern music is on Stevie Wonder's "Superstition". Since then, the Clavinet C has been highly revered for its unique tone, able to cut through a mix and deliver a funky punch to any track.
Puremagnetik has now captured this unique instrument in over 250MB of sampled Clavinet content from the original C model. Optimized for Ableton Live, Kontakt, Logic and GarageBand, Model-C has been intricately programmed with easy edit controls and integrated effects. Model-C comes as a self contained instrument complete with multi-pickup selection and mechanical noise controls.
